Mathematics is an all-inclusive concept that is inseparable in our daily life. Our normal chores have been influenced and shaped for years by simple mathematical concepts. The symmetrical existence of natural things like flowers, trees, nuts, fruits and so on which includes the symmetrical appearance of human, the basis for mathematical studies for ages. Objects designed by man have also followed similar symmetrical patterns found in ancient and modern embroidery, paintings and even landscaping.
Does it stop here? The answer is most predictable. Math, in this technologically developed world, is everywhere. Math helps in tackling common problems such as calculating mileage of vehicles, calculating various discount offers and identifying the best offer, converting centigrade to Fahrenheit, converting Dollars to Rupees etc. Simple mathematics would mean substantial wealth when it comes to calculation of insurance and investments. Basic geometry ensures perfection in painting the house, fencing the yard, and the like.
There are infinite applications of mathematical theories like fractions, decimals, and percents in normal day to day life. We involuntarily and subconsciously apply mathematical concepts in daily life without even realizing it. Even an illiterate lay person uses mathematical assumptions to read time, to check a calendar, scoring in a game, betting on race horse, cooking out a recipe, name an action and you find mathematical ideology forming its basis.
Roger Bacon, an English philosopher, Scientist and Scholar brings out the importance of this subject through his words
Neglect of mathematics works injury to all knowledge, since he who is ignorant of it cannot know the other sciences or the things of the world
